Christoph Friedli

Health problems forced Christoph Friedli to dissolve his 20-year-long established and operated forestry company. For his back problems and pain he used riding as a therapy. He developed a new way of life and his enthusiasm for the horses unfolded. With the idea of creating a Cow Horse Training Center and a small Western town, he bought the Forest Ranch area in 2003. His relationship to nature, to enjoy cowboyfeeling, to get away from everyday stress, was and is the dream of Christoph. With a lot of energy, passion and heart blood he realizes his dream, by hand, step by step.

Health problems forced Christoph Friedli to dissolve his 20-year-long established and operated forestry company. For his back problems and pain he used riding as a therapy. He developed a new way of life and his enthusiasm for the horses unfolded. "My childhood dreams were the nature, the outdoors and the daily work with the horses and herds of cattle briefly the life of a cowboy. 25 years ago, I built my own business so that my childhood dreams came into the background. But five years ago the surprising twist came: I decided to visit a cutting course for a weekend at the Forest Ranch. This aroused my childhood dreams again and I began to pursue my newly won passion almost every weekend. On the ranch I find peace and am now proud owner of two horses and a bison breed. In addition, I built a small cowboy-style cottage, where I can enjoy my weekends at the ranch with my animals. The horses have taught me how to use gentle methods and to find joy in working with them through natural communication. For what is more beautiful than horses, who like to spend time with the people and work motivated. As you can see, the Forest Ranch gave me the opportunity to find a second home away from everyday stress. "

  Manuel Friedli

Manuel decided to graduate as a blacksmith after school. His approach to the horses is characterized by a great deal of peace and patience. It is important to him that the fogging is not a stressful situation, but rather gives the horse a positive experience. He attaches great importance to exact and indivi- dually coordinated work. Today this activity is his great passion. In 2010 he wanted to measure his skills as a blacksmith with others and ventured to the European Championships, proudly taking the first prize. Manuel loves his job and wants to do it for many more years.
